FATHER'S LOVE

                                          Many of us are lucky to have our dad by our side. But for others who lost their fathers, this day is a painful reminder that dad is no longer around. I hope they're able to find peace during these testing times and if it makes any better, dad will always be watching over you from the sky to keep you warm protected. My father always grabbed my hand and has tirelessly crossed the other side with me.


What is Father's Love For His Daughter, Daughters are the precious gift from God, The house becomes HOME as little princess comes in. I have always looked up to my father since I was a little girl. Always have and always will. He is always there at the back of my mind in good times and bad. My mother used to tell me when I was kid I would wait for dad to come back home and would refuse to sleep. But, the moment I saw him I promptly used to plop off to bed. There were times when I was a toddler I would sit on his tummy and play with the hair on his chest. 

We share such a beautiful relationship we can talk about anything in this world. I never hesitate to ask  him anything. I always give him the biggest hug when I go home to visit for a few days. My mother says we both have the same reaction towards many things. We also end up saying the exact same things without knowing each others reactions. It makes feel so bonded.

HOW I WOULD SPEND MY LEISURE TIME

                                  I would like to spend my leisure time with my family and be active and also I like to discover new places. My idea on how to spend a leisure time is to take my family on an interesting trip. It doesn't matter how far it is. We can walk in the forests, zoo and beach. We can listen to the wind blowing in the trees, We can make campground or picnic on the beach under the starry sky. Everything is possible, you just only need to want to do it. This is my idea how I would like my leisure time, to be with family.                               We really don't have too much time on our hands, as a society, as a species and even more so as individuals. SINHALA AND TAMIL NEW YEAR

  We celebrate the sun festival in the month of April. Sinhala and Tamil new year is the biggest celebration in Sri Lanka. Usually, Sinhala and Hindu New Year falls on April 13th and 14th, symbolizing the ending of the old year, and the beginning of the New Year. It's based on the sun's movement from the Meena Rashiya to the Mesha Rashiya Sri Lankan welcomes the new year in April. It's the much awaited time of the year with the pleasant call of Koha.  The celebration is full of firecrackers and fireworks. The New Year rituals initially start with a neutral period called the "Nonagathe". So, during this period people keep off from all the work and engage in religious activities.
