MY FAVORITE BOOK

 My favorite book is ''Harry Potter'' by J.K. Rowling has had a similar impact on me and millions of other readers across the globe. The way core moral values have been glorified in this book series is outstanding. Although, one can find numerous books on the theme of philosophy, morals, humanity, fantasy, etc. I believe that this is the most appealing book amongst all.



This book is based on the story of an orphan whose parents were killed by a wicked wizard. His mother saved him by making a shield of love around the infant Harry Potter. The entire story revolves around the protagonist and the evil magician Voldemort. In the quest for making the magical world free from the terror of Voldemort,, Harry, along with the good wizards kill the demon in the end. The uniqueness of the story is the fascinating world sketched out by the author which is parallel to our world. The lessons of life taught to the kids in the form of Harry's life is extremely didactic. The adults too find it very interesting. The nature of harry is generous and kind. The teachers and friends who constantly helped him and stood by him at all times, inspire the young readers to be first class citizens. The imagination exhibited by the lady author while writing such a heart-throbbing story is unparalleled and makes every reader understand the significance of pious deeds.



One would be awestruck if one looks at the records the book broke. It is considered to be a masterpiece in the genre of fantasy in English Literature. The harry potter series contains a total of 8 books. which have been translated into more than 200 languages. The book's success made J.K. Rowling a billionaire.

HOW I WOULD SPEND MY LEISURE TIME

                                  I would like to spend my leisure time with my family and be active and also I like to discover new places. My idea on how to spend a leisure time is to take my family on an interesting trip. It doesn't matter how far it is. We can walk in the forests, zoo and beach. We can listen to the wind blowing in the trees, We can make campground or picnic on the beach under the starry sky. Everything is possible, you just only need to want to do it. This is my idea how I would like my leisure time, to be with family.                               We really don't have too much time on our hands, as a society, as a species and even more so as individuals. SINHALA AND TAMIL NEW YEAR

  We celebrate the sun festival in the month of April. Sinhala and Tamil new year is the biggest celebration in Sri Lanka. Usually, Sinhala and Hindu New Year falls on April 13th and 14th, symbolizing the ending of the old year, and the beginning of the New Year.
